A press conference will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 11:30 am in front of the State Capitol to discuss a Massachusetts Legislative Hearing that will take place at 1:00 PM in the State House (Room A-2) before the Joint Committee on the Judiciary to discuss, in particular, S–1038 and

H -1614 which eliminates the statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse

It is about time the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Legislature passes legislation that will enable childhood sexual abuse victims to have access to the courts so they can try to obtain justice, validation, and healing.  S-1038 and H-1614 and other child-friendly legislation must be passed!

Children who have been sexually abused in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have sought common-sense legislation that will enable them to begin to heal and make the Commonwealth of Massachusetts a safer place for children.

The passage of this joint-sponsored bill will enable childhood sexual abuse victims to have their day in court and hold their abusers accountable.

What

S-1038 and H–1614, eliminating the statute of limitations “forever” on childhood sexual abuse cases.  Other pieces of legislation favoring justice for children should be approved as well.
