The recently-released 700 plus page investigative report of the Illinois Catholic Dioceses by the Attorney General revealed what has been known by Church leaders for decades upon decades; namely, that the six Catholic Dioceses have placed children physically and emotionally in danger by allowing pedophile priests to sexually abuse innocent children.

None of the six Catholic dioceses has publicly released its secret files (Canon Law 489 Files or Archives) which would reveal, for instance, the names of pedophile priests and complicit supervisors of pedophile priests. Publicly releasing these files will help victim/survivors try to heal and make the world safer for children.

Priests’ names, such as that of Fr. George Clements, a credibly accused pedophile, must be placed on the credibly-accused list of the Archdiocese of Chicago.  According to the Attorney General’s report, there are hundreds of priests who have not been named and publicized
