A NEW START FOR THE DIOCESE OF BUFFALO, NY, OR A GATHERING OF OLD AND CURRENT CRONIES FROM THE ARCHDIOCESE OF WASHINGTON, DC, THE DIOCESE OF BUFFALO, NEW YORK, AND THE ARCHDIOCESE OF NEW YORK, NEW YORK?

Why has Pope Francis and his predecessors consistently appointed bishops, auxiliary bishops, and priests from the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, historically one of the most corrupt archdioceses in the country, to become Bishops and Archbishops of several dioceses in the United States?

For example, Bishop Michael Fisher, a Washington, DC, priest who served as Vicar for Clergy and Secretary for Ministerial Leadership under disgraced Cardinal Donal Wuerl, and served as a priest in the Archdiocese of Washington, DC, during the entire tenure of disgraced Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, who appointed Fr. Fisher in 2005 to the position of Vicar General for the Apostolates, will be ordained the Bishop of Buffalo, New York, a diocese that has had atrocious leadership for decades.

Bishop Michael Fisher also served as an auxiliary bishop of Washington, DC under disgraced Cardinal Wilton Gregory, the current Archbishop of Washington, DC, who was President of the United States Catholic Bishops Conference in 2002-3 when he declared that the crisis of clergy sexual abuse was over after the establishment of the National Review Board.

In addition, Bishop Michael Fisher is scheduled to be installed as Bishop of Buffalo, New York, by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York, who led the fight by the Catholic Church of New York to defeat the Child Victims Act in New York State and spent millions of dollars of Catholic donations to deny victims of clergy sexual abuse their day in court. Not only that, Cardinal Dolan has refused to remove Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio from his leadership position even though two (2) men have alleged that DiMarzio abused them as children when he was a New Jersey priest.
