Why

The Diocese of Portland has covered up clergy sexual abuse for decades; more likely, a century or more, and it continues to mistreat and

re-victimize victims of clergy sexual abuse by attempting to block legislation that would give them their day in court.

Jane Doe, a childhood clergy sexual abuse victim, will explain the effects the sexual abuse by Fr. Lawrence Sabatino had on her as a child and adult, and she will demand of Bishop Deeley that he stop blocking justice for victims like her and her fellow victims.

A few years ago, Dr. Robert Hoatson staged a demonstration against Portland Diocesan priest, Fr. James Vallely.  At that time, it was revealed that approximately five (5) Portland Diocesan Bishops, beginning with Bishop Daniel Feeney and continuing with Bishops Peter Gerety (accused of sexual abuse of a minor child, age five (5); Edward O’Leary; Joseph Gerry, OSB, and Richard Malone knew about Vallely’s sexual abuse but covered it up for decades.
