CIVIL LAWSUIT FILED IN BOSTON, MA, SUFFOLK SUPERIOR COURT ON AUGUST 25, 2022, AGAINST THREE FORMER ADMINISTRATORS OF ARCHDIOCESE OF BOSTON SCHOOLS WHO ALLEGEDLY ENABLED THE CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE OF A FORMER STUDENT OF ARLINGTON CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, ARLINGTON, MA
A courageous former student from Arlington Catholic High School, Arlington, MA, has come forward to claim that he was sexually abused as a child from approximately 1999 until approximately 2001 on numerous occasions when he was approximately 16-17 years of age. The victim is represented by Attorney Mitchell Garabedian of Boston, MA.
The lawsuit names Rev. Richard Malone, later Bishop Malone of Portland, Maine, and Buffalo, New York, who at the time was the Archdiocese of Boston Secretary of Education and Vicar General (second in command to the Archbishop/Cardinal); and, Rev. William Murphy, later Auxiliary Bishop of Boston and Bishop of Rockville Centre, New York; and a third unnamed defendant
