Archbishop Richard Henning, Archbishop of Boston, MA, is playing destructive and blatantly unjust hardball with childhood victim/survivors of clergy sexual abuse and sexual abuse and it must end now

May 14, 2025 | 0

Archbishop Henning, who treated clergy sexual abuse victim/survivors poorly in the Diocese of Providence, RI, is repeating his behavior by revictimizing innocent childhood sexual abuse victim/survivors in the Archdiocese of Boston

Monsignor Eugene P. Sullivan, priest, and John “Jack” Murphy, aka/ Deacon Jack, former religion and social studies teacher, are two previously credibly accused childhood sexual abusers who are being protected and defended immorally by Archbishop Richard Henning

What and Why

A demonstration and press conference calling on Archbishop Richard Henning to cease his re-victimization of childhood clergy sexual abuse victim/survivors and sexual abuse by settling claims against two Catholics, a priest and a lay teacher, both of whom have had at least one credible allegation against them.

Msgr. Eugene P. Sullivan has been accused of sexually abusing Michael Sullivan (no relation) at St. Joseph’s Parish in Holbrook, MA, when Michael Sullivan was a minor child.  Msgr. Sullivan was credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor child in another claim several years ago.  John “Jack” Murphy, a former lay teacher at Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth, MA, and Archbishop Williams High School, Braintree, MA, was credibly accused approximately 20 years ago of sexual abuse by at least two former students of Archbishop Williams High School and those claims were settled.  He has recently been accused of sexual abuse in 1979 of a Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth, MA, student, and Murphy’s photo appears in a Sacred Heart High School yearbook in approximately 1979.  Some students at Sacred Heart High School referred to John “Jack” Murphy as “Deacon Jack.”
